You start with a matching appointment, then Two Chairs pairs you with one of its employed therapists for weekly sessions by video or at a clinic in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Seattle or Miami, with symptom check-ins along the way. It is out-of-network with most insurers, so you pay up front and may get part back; it is in network with some plans such as Aetna and Kaiser in some areas. Psychiatry is offered in some states.

  • From Copay with in-network insurance; about $175–$200/session self-pay or out-of-network (third-party estimate)

Two Chairs is out-of-network with most insurers; self-pay and out-of-network prices are the same, and out-of-network benefits may reimburse 60–80%. In network with some plans (e.g. Aetna, Kaiser in some areas); it says some clients pay $0 and most under $30/session after the deductible. Self-pay figure is from VirtualCareFinder; a competitor (Rula) reports $260 first session and $226 after.

What we couldn't verify

  • Its privacy policy doesn't say whether it sells data or shares it for advertising
  • Clinical evidence is limited or still emerging

Website policy (read 2026-10-27, last updated 2022) lists sharing only with therapists, service providers, affiliates and legal or merger recipients and lists no advertising use, but never states whether it sells data; it offers access and updates, not deletion.
