About SonderMind
SonderMind is a US service that matches you with licensed therapists and psychiatric prescribers who are in network with your insurance, for video or in-person sessions in all 50 states and DC. Therapy is offered for individuals, couples, families, teens and children with select providers; minors need a parent or guardian on the account. It accepts most major commercial plans, Medicare and Medicare Advantage, but not Medicaid. With insurance you pay your plan's cost-share. Self-pay prices are listed by state and range from about $50 to $180 a session depending on session length and the clinician's credentials; there is no sliding scale, and cancelling within 24 hours can cost up to the full session fee. Clients fill out regular symptom questionnaires that their therapist can review (measurement-based care). Researchers working with SonderMind have published observational studies of its clients, but no controlled trial. Whether its privacy policy allows sharing data for advertising could not be confirmed in this review.
