About PlushCare
PlushCare is a telehealth primary care service; its clinicians work for affiliated physician-owned practices. For mental health, its primary care doctors can evaluate anxiety and depression and prescribe or refill some medications such as antidepressants, but PlushCare has no psychiatrists, its therapists do not prescribe, and it does not prescribe controlled substances. Talk therapy with a licensed therapist is a separate service at $169 per session self-pay. Doctor visits require a membership of $19.99 a month (not covered by insurance or HSA/FSA) plus your insurance rate or $129 per visit without insurance; medication and lab costs are extra. PlushCare was owned by Accolade (part of Transcarent from 2025) and became part of Fabric Labs on July 31, 2026; existing accounts carried over. No published study of PlushCare's mental health care was found.
