Rosebud

Rosebud is an AI journaling app: you write or speak about your day and it asks follow-up questions and shows patterns in your mood over time.

You write or talk about your day, and Rosebud replies with questions and suggestions, then summarizes patterns in your mood and goals each week. Since October 2026 you need the Bloom subscription to keep journaling; old entries can still be exported. It is not a substitute for professional care.

Trade-offs

  • Requires ongoing subscription with no free option
  • Self-guided only - no direct professional support

What we couldn't verify

  • HIPAA compliance status is unverified

Uses Meta, Google and Apple advertising pixels to measure ads (says journal entries are not sent to them); describes 'HIPAA-aligned' handling with vendor BAAs but does not say it is HIPAA-covered; deletion by emailing support with 'Delete My Data'.
