About Akili Interactive (EndeavorRx, EndeavorOTC)

Akili Interactive pioneered video game-based digital therapeutics with EndeavorRx, which became the first FDA-cleared video game treatment in June 2020. Originally approved for children ages 8-12 with inattentive or combined-type ADHD, FDA expanded the label in 2024 to include adolescents 13-17, more than doubling the eligible patient population. In June 2024, Akili received FDA clearance for EndeavorOTC, the first FDA-authorized over-the-counter digital treatment for adults with ADHD. The treatments use the same proprietary SSME (Selective Stimulus Management Engine) technology to target attention through adaptive, engaging gameplay. While Akili found the prescription model challenging for building a sustainable business, the OTC expansion addresses the growing adult ADHD market. Akili merged with Virtual Therapeutics in 2024, becoming a private company subsidiary.
