About Mightier
Mightier is a home program of video games played while wearing a heart-rate sensor. When a child's heart rate rises the game gets harder, so they practise calming strategies to keep playing. A kit includes the sensor, conversation cards and access to 25+ games; you can use a compatible device or add Mightier's own game-only device for $75, and parents get an app to track progress and manage screen time. Plans cost $40 a month, $34 a month billed for 6 months, or $28 a month billed yearly, with a 90-day money-back guarantee, and can be paid with HSA or FSA funds. Mightier grew out of Boston Children's Hospital research on a game called RAGE-Control; a 2021 pilot randomized trial of RAGE-Control in 40 youth found clinician- and parent-rated improvements but no difference in children's self-rated anger. We did not find a peer-reviewed study of the Mightier product itself.
