About Floreo
Floreo is a virtual-reality learning program for neurodivergent people of all ages, especially autistic learners. The learner practises situations in a headset (social greetings, joint attention, street safety, interacting with police, calming strategies) while a guide such as a parent, teacher, behaviour analyst or speech therapist runs and adjusts the lesson from a separate phone or tablet. A family subscription for one learner starts at $69.99 a month, with the headset separate; schools and clinics have tiered pricing. Medicaid waiver programs in some states, including Tennessee, New York, Wisconsin and North Carolina, reimburse it. A 2026 randomized trial of its police-safety module found modest short-term gains compared with a video program. A prescription version, FloreoRx, was submitted to the FDA for De Novo review in April 2026 and is not yet authorized.
