Age of Onset

Most common onset in childhood (7–9 years), but can emerge in adolescence or adulthood, often after a stressor such as illness, relocation, or relationship loss.

DSM-5 Code

309.21 (child), 309.24 (adult)

ICD-10 Code

F93.0 (child), F93.0x (adult)
