Description

Prevalence

Lifetime prevalence estimated at 0.3%; less common than schizophrenia but more common than bipolar disorder with psychotic features.

Age of Onset

Typically emerges in late adolescence to early adulthood, similar to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder onset patterns.
