To define Reactive Attachment Disorder: Emotionally withdrawn behavior toward caregivers in young children following extreme neglect or insufficient early care.

Rare in the general population; most common among children who have experienced severe neglect, institutional rearing, or multiple foster placements.

Age of Onset
