About EndeavorRx
EndeavorRx (AKL-T01), made by Akili, is a prescription digital therapeutic for children aged 8 to 17 with primarily inattentive or combined-type ADHD who have a demonstrated attention issue. The child steers a character through courses while responding to targets and ignoring distractions; the game adapts difficulty as they play. The FDA authorized it in June 2020 through the De Novo pathway (DEN200026), based mainly on the STARS-ADHD randomized trial of 348 children, which found a small improvement on a computerised attention test versus a control game; it is not a stand-alone treatment for ADHD. It needs a prescription and is dispensed through a pharmacy; the free demo has no therapeutic effect. Akili was acquired by Virtual Therapeutics in 2024. Adults 18 and older can use the separate non-prescription EndeavorOTC.
